Gran Ruta Maya (Mexico & Guatemala)
You will start from a natural wonder that it's going to leave you breathless: the Sumidero Canyon. You will admire it while sailing along the Grijalva river where, if you're lucky, you can spot numerous crocodiles, vultures and howler monkeys. You will visit the beautiful San Cristobal de las Casas, the indigenous communities of Zinacantan and the most mystical and mysterious church in Mexico: San Juan Chamula.
In Guatemala you will admire the colorful Chichicastenango market, you will enjoy the sailing in Lake Atitlan, you will have a walk among the colonial-style buildings in the beautiful city of Antigua and you will explore the Tikal National Park.
Once back in Mexico you will visit the ruins of Yaxchilan, one of the most evocative archaeological sites in Chiapas, reachable only by navigating the Usumacinta river. Then, you will visit other beautiful UNESCO heritage sites, such as Palenque, Campeche and Uxmal, before concluding the tour with Chichen Itza, one of the 7 wonders of the world.
