El Viejo Oeste
From the vibrant Mexico City to the beaches of Mazatlan. A unique itinerary, as particular as it is emotional, that will take us to discover the north-western part of the country, crossing 11 of the 32 Mexican states. We will get to know the Aztec culture and we will admire the majestic Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Later on, we will go back to Mexico City and we will explore its fascinating historical center along with the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Palacio Nacional and the Templo Mayor. Reforma, which is the most important street in Mexico City, will take us to the bosque de Chapultepec and to the Anthropology Museum (one of the most important museums in the world).
It is now time to leave the capital to go up north: we will visit various cities which are UNESCO world heritage sites, such as Quéretaro, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and Zacatecas. Their typical city centers, which are perfectly preserved, will let us breathe the strong colonial atmosphere that surrounds them and which reminds us of the times of the Mexican Revolution. Nature won’t certainly be missing in our trip: the wonders of Huasteca Potosina, with its waterfalls and its forests, Real de Catorce and its phantom pueblo, Parras de la Fuente and its lake which is surrounded by a fairytale-like landscape and last but not least, Santillo with its Desert Museum.
The tour will end with the fully western-style experience in Durango, just before we will get some well deserved rest on Mazatlán’s beaches.
